The client
Duman Autos manages vehicles and logistics paperwork, and every one of those documents carries an expiry date.
The challenge
Expiry dates on logistics and vehicle documents were tracked by hand. With many documents across many vehicles, there was a real risk of something lapsing unnoticed, and of a vehicle being off the road or uninsured as a result.
What we built
- A system that records each document's expiry date against the vehicle it belongs to.
- A scheduled job that checks every document daily.
- SMS and email alerts sent before anything expires, so there is time to renew.
- Service reminders based on each vehicle's odometer, plus a trip log for the fleet.
Results
- 8 vehicles and 10 vehicle and logistics documents tracked, with every expiry date checked daily.
- 45 service reminders sent, with 25 services logged.
- 75 trips logged in the system.
